Transition Skills Training!
We are now accepting referrals for the Transition Skills Training Program!
Do you know a youth who is in need of life skills and work experience?
Are you a teenager who wants to earn some money and learn to live on your own?
What is TST?
Offered in Partnership with the Ministry of Social Services, the objective of the Transition Skills Training Program is to assist youth to improve life skills which will better prepare them for successful independence in the community. TST is for youth ages 15-19. The focus of TST is to help youth learn skills that will assist them in their transition to independence and enable them to make positive decisions in this pivotal and critical period of their lives.
TST Dates and Locations:
*Please note there is no TST program for 14 years and younger this year.
Location: Territorial Drive Alliance Church (2302 Clements Dr.)
Dates: Wednesdays from 4:00pm-6:00pm.
Module 1: Oct. 3, Oct. 10, Oct. 17, Oct. 24
Module 2: Oct. 31, Nov. 7, Nov. 14, Nov. 21
Module 3: Jan. 9, Jan. 16, Jan. 23
Module 4: Work placement dates TBD with employers.
Please note that depending on the volume of referrals, not all referrals may be accepted.
