Supported Independent LivingThis program is offered in partnership with the Ministry of Social Services, Community Living Service Delivery, Disability Program. The SIL Program provides assistance to people with intellectual disabilities so they can live independently and be participating members of the community. Support may include: planning and/or preparation of meals, cleaning and managing a home, making effective use of leisure time, utilizing community resources, budgeting, shopping and managing money. Support services also assist the individual to establish a support network within the community.
Community ProgramThe Community Program is an integral part of our Supported Independent Living Program (SILP). In this program we involve our clients in many activities and community events. We hope to build self-esteem, self-confidence and a sense of belonging by involving our clients in the community. We have many wonderful volunteers that help us out with this program and to them we are so grateful.
